Love's Labour's Lost

Out, damn'd spot! Things are still pretty hectic in the labour room. I have assisted a zillion deliveries and sutured a zillion and five episiotomies, and haven't yet managed to scrub out the smell of amniotic fluid from my hair. I don't want to see another perineum in my life.

More babies being born. Toodle-oo!

The stitches are the most painful part of giving birth.

Amniotic fluid in the hair? Lord have mercy, you just turned me off from ever having sex again.

Whenever my day is too hectic or I'm feeling a little blue, I know I can read your blog for the kind of pick-me up feel good story that allows me to make it through another day.

But this one made me queasy.

Had I not commented here already? Anyway, you are lucky you get to do as much as you do. I have hardly given an injection yet, and I am already done with final year.

I'm cool. Yay!

Ah, somebody picked up on that. Give yourself a pat on the back.
I've been generally sleepy and hungry, otherwise pretty snappy and irritable. The usual.

One point in favour of C-sections. But the morbidity rates are much higher.
Good decision. No sex = No pregnancies = No chilbirth = Happy me.

@don lewis:
Oh, that was a great mood elevator. Sure you're not Prozac?
I can give you a drug for that if you want.

I take it there is no shortage of manpower at your college. We never have enough people to do the work, so we get roped in.
